Microgravity Surveys

Following are some examples of microgravity surveys we have been carried out.

Click on the boxes for more detailed information

kal_grav_thumb Locate disused mine workings Two field crew have mobilised to Kalgoorlie, Western Australia as part of the on going contract with Kalgoorlie Consolidated Gold Mines to locate and quantify abandoned stope workings within the super-pit. Following the completion of a three week survey in Horseshoe pit a further microgravity survey has been commissioned for the adjoining Office Pit located on the -240m level. bah_thumb Locate a flooded cave system Freeport Container terminal will become one of the largest ports of its type in the world, with an on-going development and expansion plan that will result in a quayside in excess of 2km in length. The complete microgravity survey culminates in approximately 7000 gravity stations, acquired over a period of 5 weeks. The quay adjacent to the existing port must be completed early in the civils construction programme and consequently this area must be surveyed first.
