NEW MEDIA

Futureproof is part of a suite of new media products produced by Keele as part of our widening participation programme. The idea behind using new media is to enable us to educate large numbers of school pupils (and their parents) about higher education opportunities, with the aim of raising aspirations. Having a free resource for each secondary school Key Stage helps schools to build HE information into their curricula and helps to normalise the idea of HE in the minds of pupils.

UNIWORLD
This was the first new media resource produced at Keele, completed in 2001. UniWorld is a CD-ROM for schools aimed at KS3 pupils. The networkable CD is available free to schools meeting WP criteria.

UniWorld is also available to other HEIs or Aimhigher areas under licence - please contact us for information.

For more information visit: www.keele.ac.uk/uniworld

IN THE PICTURE
In the Picture is a free DVD about higher education for parents whose children are in school years 9, 10 or 11. It is available free of charge to parents in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire. Please email the In the Picture team for more information.

NEW DEVELOPMENTS
We are currently developing a CD-ROM resource for KS5, also funded under the HE Full Circle project. This resource should be available late 2005.

In 2006 we plan to develop a CD-ROM resource for teachers.

For more information about any of these products please contact us.
