Fairtrade Fortnight – 25th February – 10th March
Diary of events
- Monday 25th February at 1pm – A Fairtrade Welcome, Concourse (weather permitting, alternatively SU)
Join Deputy Vice Chancellor Rama Thirunamachandran to find out about Fairtrade at Keele and how you can make a difference to the lives of workers in the developing countries. Enjoy entertainment courtesy of Dance Sport.
- 9am – 5pm every day of Fairtrade Fortnight - Make a pledge and receive a free Fairtrade product
Make a pledge to change to a Fairtrade product and help make a difference to the lives of workers in the developing world. What’s more, when you make your pledge, you will receive a free Fairtrade product.
You can make your pledge at one of four locations:
SU reception area
Chancellor’s Building foyer area
Medical School by Le Café
Sports Hall reception area
Pledges will be hung on a pledge tree and displayed throughout Fairtrade Fortnight.
Free products are subject to availability and given away on a first come, first served basis so don’t miss out and get yours early!
- Monday 25th February 10am-4pm – Fairtrade Gift Stall, Chancellor’s Building
- Thursday 28th 9pm - SU Fairtrade Quiz, Scruffy Squirrel Your favourite quiz with a special section dedicated to Fairtrade questions! Make sure you do your research.
- Friday 1st March 6-7pm– Silly Games, Sports Hall
Come and join us at the Sports Centre for some silly games using Fairtrade items. Take a visit back to your childhood with these fun games.
- Saturday 2ndMarch 10am-1pm – Fairtrade 5 a side Football Tournament, Sports Hall. Sign up your team by registering at the Sports Hall reception.
- Thursday 7th March 9pm - SU Fairtrade Quiz, Scruffy Squirrel
