Training and Consultancy
PEAK offers training and consultancy on a wide range of ethical issues. We have a range of training courses that are regularly run at Keele and in-house (for arrangements and costs see In House Training), and can in addition provide bespoke training and consultancy by arrangement.
Research Ethics Committee training
PEAK is the country's largest provider of training in Research Ethics. We provide training courses for members of University Ethics Committes, Medical & Health Care research ethics committees, administrators, researchers and others with a professional interest in this area. Consultancy
PEAK offers consultancy and advice on a range of areas of ethics. In the past we have offered consultancy and ethical audits for NHS trusts. We provide a consultancy service in research ethics giving advice on research ethics governance and systems - advising organisations on establishing new research ethics systems, and providing reviews of existing research ethics systems. PCT & Clinical Ethics Committee Training
PEAK offers training in ethical issues for members of PCTs and Clinical Ethics Committees. We provide training courses on resource allocation, ethical issues in infectious disease control and other areas of topical medical interest. Our experience and expertise in applied ethics regularly generate enquiries about provision of in-house and bespoke training for a wide variety of clients. We are happy to discuss tailoring tailor training sessions to the particular requirements, experience, and professional background of your group. Bespoke training
Our experience and expertise in applied ethics regularly generate enquiries about provision of in-house and bespoke training for a wide variety of clients. We are happy to discuss tailoring tailor training sessions to the particular requirements, experience, and professional background of your group. Our experience has enabled us to develop a lively, inclusive and engaging style of training, which encourages discussion and makes extensive use of case studies and examples. We have found that this approach helps make the abstract ideas of applied ethics readily understandable by professionals, and of real relevance to practice.
Our Postgraduate Courses and Research pages will give a good indication of our main areas of expertise, and will perhaps suggest some ideas for training sessions for your group. We can cover virtually any area of applied or professional ethics, although our specialities are in health care, medical, research, social welfare and criminal justice ethics.
We have also carried out ethical audits and consultancy for NHS trusts, and would be happy to talk to you about your requirements.
