Energy
The University is responsible for over 62 kilometers of underground water, gas, electricity, drainage and collection infrastructure. This is managed by Estates whilst also driving down Carbon emissions and costs through improved energy efficiency and awareness raising.

Requesting a Water Meter - Staff Housing Properties
It may be feasible to install individual water meters at Staff Housing properties on Keele Campus.
Should you wish to investigate the possibility of having a water meter installed in your property, please contact Estates Help Desk in the first instance.

What Happens Next?
- The Estates Help Desk will raise a request to investigte water meter installation at your property.
- Once the investigation is completed, you will be contacted to confirm the fees that will be chargeable for the installation.
- Should you wish to proceed, we would need confirmation in writing (letter or e-mail) that you accept any agreed charges.
- The Estates Help Desk will arrange a mutually convenient appointment with you to have the meter installed.
- Once all the work is completed, you will receive an invoice for the agreed charge.
- From the date of installation, your billing for your water supply will change from unmetered to a metered methodolgy via Keele University Finance.
