Carbon Management

The University is committed to reducing its Carbon Footprint and has launched, in partnership with the Carbon Trust, a Carbon Management Plan that aims to reduce carbon emissions 18% by 2015 based on 2008/09 figures. As part of the Carbon Management Plan we aim to further improve energy efficiency across campus, reduce waste and increase recycling rates.

We have launched an environmental awareness campaign amongst staff and students, with the aim of reducing energy wastage and encouraging improved environmental behaviour in other areas such as waste and travel.
