Joe studied Politics at Manchester University, where he was subsequently a Writing Fellow. He is published by Vintage Books.
His first novel ‘Friction’ appeared in 2007 - see a review here, and was followed by ‘Wildlife’ in 2009. He has also published short stories. Joe is also lyricist and lead singer of Manchester band Performance.
Joe is currently working on his third novel ‘One Hit Wonder’, and teaches both Creative Writing and the Song Lyric at Keele.
