How to register for electives
Level I, II and III students will register for elective modules for their level of study online through eVision before 16th September 2012.
Your initial progression will be decided by the beginning of July 2012. In July 2012 you will receive a progression email to your Keele University account.
This progression email will confirm that you have either:
You will then receive another email asking you to re-register for the 2012/13 academic year. Once you have re-registered for 2012/13 you will be able to register your option and elective choices for 2012/13 on eVision. You will have until Saturday 18th August 2012 to register for these modules. This is to enable us to effectively timetable modules for 2012/13 based on your choices.
Although you have not passed all of your credits you may be allowed to proceed into your next level of study. You will still need to make good your failed modules, this is usually in the August re-assessment period.
Proceed from Level I to Level II
You may be allowed to proceed into Level II study, povided you have failed no more than 30 credits of level I modules. IN ADDITION, if you are studying a dual honours degree course, you must fail no more than 15 credits from each principal subject you are studying. This includes compulsory, optional and any approved programme elective modules you may be studying in each principal subject. This means that if you are a dual honours student and fail 2 level I modules in one of your principal subjects you will NOT be allowed to proceed into Level II.
Proceed from Level II to Level III
You will be allowed to proceed into Level III study, provided you have failed no more than 15 credits of level II modules and you have passed all your Level I modules.
You will then receive another email asking you to re-register for the 2012/13 academic year. Once you have re-registered for 2012/13 you will be able to register your option and elective choices for your level of study in 2012/13 on eVision. You will have until Saturday 4th August 2012 to register for these modules. This is to enable us to effectively timetable modules.

At this stage you will not be able to re-register for the 2012/13 academic year or register your option and elective choices for 2012/13 on eVision.
You may be advised that you need to take the opportunity to be re-assessed during the August re-assessment period in the level I and/or level II modules you have failed. You will then receive a final progression email in early September, after the August re-assessment period to confirm your progression status.
However, if you do not have sufficient re-assessment available over the August reasessment period, you will be advised that you must repeat your level of study, in part or in full. If you have already repeated any level of study, then you will be required to withdraw.
