Education Research at Keele

Through research concerning education and social policy we aim to analyse and provoke discussion about current patterns of educational change.  

The Centre for Successful Schools (CfSS) was founded in 1989 by Tim Brighouse to support school improvement initiatives (particularly in urban settings). Since then, CfSS has continued to support a wide range of schools and local authorities with educational research and attitudinal surveys which give students, parents and teachers a platform to voice their opinions. The Centre also holds annual conferences at which eminent educationalists debate key issues related to successful schooling.
