My initial career choice was in Software Development. Later, I retrained as a teacher of secondary mathematics. Subsequently, I taught in Primary and Secondary schools for many years. More recently, I have been employed as an examiner for Edexcel (Statistics) and as a mathematics Associate Lecturer for the Open University.

I hold an MEd. in Researching Mathematics Learning and Contemporary Behaviour Management and have particular interests in mathematics education, tutoring and mentoring.

I am in the process of researching for a PhD in Mathematics Education, focusing on the effects of teaching and learning mathematics for those with Asperger Syndrome.
