Keele/ITARI PGDIE

Keele University has recently entered into an exciting partnership with the Indus Training and Research Institute (ITARI) which is based in Bangalore in India.  ITARI is the training and research centre for the Indus Trust, which has international schools in Bangalore, Pune and Hyderabad.

Working in partnership, a Professional Graduate Diploma in International Education (PGDIE) is being offered.  The first cohort commences the programme in July 2011.  The programme brings together the best elements of the PGDIE that has previously been offered by ITARI and the core elements of the PGCE that is offered at Keele University.

The professional capability of the course participants is assessed by utilising the professional standards for qualified teacher status that underpin training in England, adapted for the local context.  Academic success is assessed through a series of practice based research assignments.

This programme is the start of what is intended to be a long and successful partnership between the two organisations.  Click here for further information on ITARI.
