Welcome to Education at Keele
We aim to integrate our teaching, and our support for the work of schools, with research that addresses central contemporary issues in education - in Britain, and, increasingly, in Europe.
With the close co-operation of local schools, we are provider of both primary and secondary teacher education, (learning to teach/teacher training) at postgraduate level. Through curriculum development projects, and support for action research, we work with schools to develop their capacities.
Through our Postgraduate Courses, we support and inform theoretically the reflective activity of education professionals. Through research in education as public policy we aim to analyse and provoke discussion about current patterns of educational change.
We offer opportinities for students to pursue careers in education policy through our undergraduate programme in Educational Studies.
We also now offer a range of programmes designed to meet the needs of teachers and educational professionals working in East Asia, South East Asia, Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.
We are holding two NQT 'Twilight' Seminars on 16th April and 21st May, focussing on Behaviour Management in School. Further information and booking details are available here.
Keele University has recently been awarded places by the Teaching Agency to run a pre-teacher training Subject Knowledge Enhancement programme in Computer Science.
