Welcome to Education at Keele

We aim to integrate our teaching, and our support for the work of schools, with research that addresses central contemporary issues in education - in Britain, and, increasingly, in Europe.

With the close co-operation of local schools, we are a Grade A provider of initial secondary teacher education,  at postgraduate (PGCE) level. Through curriculum development projects, and support for action research, we work with schools to develop their capacities.

Through our Postgraduate Courses, we support and inform theoretically the reflective activity of education professionals. Through research in education as public policy we aim to analyse and provoke discussion about current patterns of educational change.

We offer opportinities for students to pursue careers in education policy through our undergraduate programme in Educational Studies.
