Occupational Stress Management Policy

The University, in line with national Health and Safety guidance, has identified Occupational Stress as a potential organizational risk.

The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) has provided generic guidance, which includes a recommendation for a Stress Management Policy.  This policy, developed by the Health at Work Group, and approved by Council in November 2005, is intended as a statement of commitment by the University to address the issue of stress in the workplace.  It informs employees and those in supervisory/management positions of their rights and responsibilities regarding stress at work, and includes guidance on risk assessment.
