Policy on use of Lasers
This document entitled, “Keele University - Policy on the Use of Lasers 2008” adopts in full new guidance from the Association of University Radiation Protection Officers, AURPO, “Guidance on the safe Use of Lasers in Education and Research” Guidance note No. 7 2006.
It replaces the University’s earlier Policy on Use of Lasers written in accordance with earlier guidance from the CVCP and approved by the OHSC on 31st May 1994.
A number of changes have been made to the main text and to the Forms in the Appendices, to bespoke it to the University. The annexes are included separately so that they can be downloaded and filled in online if necessary.
