The International Law Section is devoted to advancing knowledge and understanding of International Law amongst scholars and students of International Studies and Law. Section members do not have to be international lawyers, they only need to have an interest in any aspect of international law. The Section organizes panels at the annual conventions of the International Studies Association; co-operates with professional organizations worldwide in promoting the study of International Law; issues a periodic newsletter; and provides a bulletin board for members.
