The Finer Memorial Lecture

The Finer Memorial Lecture 2004 (the ninth in the series) was delivered on March 31st 2004 by Professor Hans Keman of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. It was entitled

'Is a Party in Government a Party of Government?'.

As with previous Finer Memorial Lectures, the 2004 lecture attracted substantial interest. Around 70 people attended.

Professor Keman's lecture will soon be available as a KEPRU Working Paper.

The Finer Memorial Lecture is held in commemoration of the huge contribution that Sammy Finer made to the study of Politics at Keele. Previous Finer Memorial Lectures have included:

  • Jack Hayward, 'Finer's Comparative History of Government', 1995.
