Online sources and web sites

In recent years it has become easier to examine legislative and policy provisions on the web. Information that is in the public realm can now almost entirely be accessed in this way. However, many government departments operate a cut-off date for holding material on the web, and earlier provisions may not be available online. In such cases, publications can be tracked down through The Stationery Office or law libraries. The following web sites provide a useful starting point for studying UK policy and legislative provisions. Other web links are in the text: click on the underlined link to access.
