Welcome to the web page for Sociology in the School of Sociology and Criminology at Keele University. We are a part of a highly successful teaching and research School. The Sociology programme is highly rated in both research and teaching terms, scoring highly in the recent Research Assessment Exercise and Teaching Quality Assessment.

At Keele the teaching we do is closely tied to our research interests. This means that you will be taught by enthusiastic staff who are closely involved in charting contemporary society and changing sociological debate.

Members of the sociology team are involved in Keele’s Research Institutes, Life Course Studies and Law, Politics  and Justice. You will be able to see the results of our extensive research through special options taught throughout the second and third year.
