Reciprocal access to other academic libraries

Keele participates in the following co-operative schemes for higher education libraries:

• SCONUL Access - enables staff, research students, full time postgraduates and part-time, distance learning and placement students to borrow material from other libraries.
• SCONUL Vacation Access - allows undergraduates and postgraduates on taught courses access to other libraries during vacation periods.

Information about other libraries

• OPACS in Britain and Ireland includes links to library web sites, also postal and electronic mail addresses, telephone and fax numbers.
• A list of UK higher education and research libraries is provided by Exeter University.
• The UK Public Libraries Page aims to provide a complete listing of public library web pages.
• Libweb has links to library web servers in over 125 countries.
• Archives HUB is a national gateway to descriptions of archives in UK universities and colleges.

Catalogues of other libraries

Nearly all academic libraries, and many others, make their catalogues available on the web. The Catalogues of other libraries page has links to union and some individual catalogues, and to more comprehensive collections of links.

For archives, A2A (Access to Archives) contains catalogues describing archives held throughout England and dating from the 900s to the present day.
