Interactive Whiteboard Research
Keele has been involved in interactive whiteboard research since 2000.
This Research has led to the publication of research articles, commercial
software and the development of a CPD
course for mathematics teachers.
Recent events
In December 2008 our final report and summary of our work for the
National Centre for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics was published.
In November 2006 our report and summary for
the Secondary National Strategy was published. Folowing this we
published a discussion paper called Secondary
mathematics teaching and the interactive whiteboard: A revolution in
the making or years of wasted opportunities (pdf)

Keele is now about to offer innovative CPD entitled Enhanced
Interactive Mathematics Teaching, intended for teachers in mathematics

year resource contains 50 plus units of starter, main activity and
plenary

- teacher notes that include photocopiable masters for pupils
- works on all interactive whiteboards
- can be used with minimal interactive whiteboard experience by pupils

- includes drag and drop routines, immediate feedback through a simple
on-board 'keypad', teacher controlled animated sequences
Free sample pack includes 5 units on sequences and a 'toolbox' offering
fully rotatable protractor, compasses, ruler, pen and pencil - the
latter makes demonstrating geometrical constructions simple.

Interactive whiteboard resource for Scotland. Separate CD-ROMs covering
Levels C/D and E/F provide an innovative way of supporting the delivery
of the 5-14 Guidelines for mathematics. Includes:
- teacher-led activities, investigations, animations and games
