Here is a quick overview of the type of activites that happen throughout the year within CIED:

January

New Students arrive for second Semester
Mentor Match Up.
A Welcome Back to Keele, Drinks Reception and Photo Award.
Portfolio submission day for returning students.
Semester 2 - The Intercultural Communication (for study abroad) module begins.

Mid February

Kyoto Students arrive for their English Language & Culture Programme.

March

A variety of trips are offered throughout the semester to places such as Shrewsbury, Oxford and Liverpool.

April

Easter Vacation. Most students use this time to travel.

May

Summer BBQ at theStudents Union..
Pre-departure Briefings for students going on a study abroad in the first semester.

August

Daito Bunka and Otani students arrive for their English Language & Culture programme
A variety of trips will be offered throughout this month.

September

New Students arrive
The Student Orientation consists of:
Ice Breaker Disco
Treasure Hunt
Athletics Union Sports Fair
Mentor Match Up
Freshers Fayre
Language Fair

October

A variety of trips are offered throughout the semester to places such as Bath, Alton Towers, Powis Castle and London.
Study Abroad Fair for Keele students who wish to go abroad.

November

Study Abroad Information Sessions
Individual Student Interviews for Students who wish to study abroad.

December

Pre-departure Briefings for Students who are studying abroad in Semester 2.
An organised trip to a Christmas Market.
International Christmas Sing-a-long.
