The Team

Here at Curriculum Support and Development (CSD) we provide students with academic, professional and personal skills development, training and guidance. So if you need to improve your teamwork and interpersonal skills; know how to employ rhetorical devices and give a good presentation; learn the importance of active listening; or want to become an assertive and persuasive negotiator, CSD can provide you with the support you need. After all, developing these skills is a vital part of your university experience for use at Keele and beyond

We provide the following ways to do this:

  • You can work though the materials and activities on the Development Strand module of the KLE
  • You can attend workshops found on the Tune IN calendar
  • You can visit the Write Direction and In-Addition drop-ins and appointments services

As part of the wider Distinctive Keele Curriculum (DKC) we also co-ordinate the Development Strand, a joint venture with careers and employabilitylibrary information services and counselling and emotional wellbeing. These four professional services provide training workshops directly within your programme of study as well offering a range of drop-in activities, all of which can be found on the Tune IN calendar.

Finally we are responsible for the Keele University Skills Portfolio, or KUSP, which is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). This portfolio allows you document your development and achievements at university to showcase upon graduation. You can find out more about the KUSP and ILM accreditation by clicking on the links.
