Overview
Clinical Management Course for Diagnostic Specialties (Pathologists and Radiologists)
This course aims to equip you with the leadership and management skills necessary to make the transition to independent specialist practice at consultant level and introduce you to contemporary concepts of leadership and management, as well as offering insights into the whole appointment process. The course will help you to make sense of the new NHS structure, to gain insight into your own personality andyour impact on others and to operate effectively in the current, pressurised, management environment.
The course is run over three days and is intended for specialty trainees in their penultimate or final years of training, although STs at an earlier stage may also be interested.
The programme design includes interactive presentations from police experts, personal development consultants and other senior people frequently experiences in the specialty.

Venue
The course is held in the Salvin Suite at Keele Hall, Keele, Staffordshire.
The Salvin Suite comprises of three rooms - the Salvin Room, Old Library and Great Hall all located on the upper level of Keele Hall. The Salvin Room, formerly the Drawing Room, features the the original ornate ceiling decorations - beautifully sculptured and painted - complimented by views to both the Italian Gardens and Keele Hall lakes.
The accommodation is based at Keele Management Centre, comprising comfortable en-suite bedrooms.
