Prunus 'Okame'

Introduced by Collingwood Ingram in 1947 as a hybrid between Prunus incisa and Prunus campanulata. It is a prolific flowering shrub reaching to 5m with deep pink, single flowers on a long calyx. It is well suited to the smaller garden. Flowers in February/March.
