Prunus 'Matsumae-ohsio'
Selected by Mr Masatoshi Asari in 1963 from seedlings of a hybrid between Prunus 'Botan' and Prunus 'Amayadori. Its name, literally, means ‘Matsumae-big-wave’ for its big white flowers with waving petals.
