Prunus 'Hally Jolivette'

A hybrid between Prunus subhirtella and Prunus x yedoensis introduced from America. It was raised Dr Karl Sax at the Arnold Arboretum, Boston and named after his wife. It has profuse pale white semi-double flowers, pink in bud, during March and April and forms a compact tree 5m X 5m with a dense rounded crown.
