Dr O'Brien invited speaker at international conference

Dr Matthew O'Brien, School of Physical and Geographical Sciences and EPSAM (Synthesis and Medicinal Chemistry Cluster) was an invited speaker at an international conference on "Continuous Processing in Biopharmaceutical Manufacturing" held at Cambridge University on the 1st and 2nd of July.

The meeting, organised by the World Biopharm Forum, included delegates from across industry and academia and focussed on the application of continuous flow processing strategies to increase the efficiency of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical production.

Dr O'Brien presented recent findings from his research on the development of Teflon AF-2400 semipermeable membrane reactors to facilitate controlled gas-liquid contact in continuous flow.
