World smallest spectrometer at Keele
Fast and efficient on-site and on-line analysis has become essential in food and pharmaceutical industries, environmental monitoring, security and counterfeit detection and many other areas.
Dr. Vladimir Zholobenko has been given one of the world smallest spectrometers to evaluate its potential in real-life applications (see photo).
This space-age “tricoder” technology has now been successfully tested for a variety of applications in environmental and materials science.
