Aims
The module aims to introduce research methods in and for social work, whilst also developing a research-minded approach to students' professional and academic development. The module will support students to understand and begin to critique the main quantitative and qualitative research approaches drawn upon within social work.

Study hours

Lectures - 12 hours
Workshops - 18 hours using a problem based learning approach
Independent study - 120 hours, including around 50 hours seminar/workshop preparation and 70 hours assignment preparation
