Aims
The aim of this module is to explore wellbeing and psychology care/practice in the community. You will gain an understanding of 'community', the protective factors of wellbeing in specific/defined communities, and how mental health can have an impact on the wider community.

Description of Module Assessment
1: Group Presentation weighted 25%Group presentationIn small groups or individually, students will present on a chosen community (included in the module). The presentation will include students defining the community and presenting the associated wellbeing and mental health characteristics in that community. Students will discuss the associated short- and long-term effects of these challenges for individuals within their chosen community. Students will use literature to support their presentation. Students who do this individually will not need to present for the same length of time as a group

2: Report weighted 75%Intervention ProposalStudents will develop a community-based intervention to address health and wellbeing in the community. Students will choose a community, describe the associated mental health and wellbeing challenges, and propose a community-based programme to support the community in improving their mental health and wellbeing. This intervention will be supported with literature and models of mental health and wellbeing. 2,000 words.
