Unfortunately, we all suffer distress at times, and our mental health can suffer. What insights and help can psychology offer? This module discusses psychological therapy approaches used by clinical psychologists and counsellors. It is hoped that students will gain a deeper understanding of the scope of psychology as one of the helping professions.
Aims
To introduce different conceptual frameworks of mental health and distress and encourage critical reflection of psychological theory and intervention.
