This module introduces students to the ethical framework of social work practice. It enables students to consider their own personal values and identify how they might differ from the professional values of social work. It provides students with the underpinning ethical knowledge and skills necessary to qualify as a generic social worker.This module meets the requirements set by the professional bodies.
Aims
This module aims to:Provide students with an introduction to foundations of social work in relation to the values and ethical principles which underpin the professionEnable students to understand the professional context of social work practiceDevelop knowledge of core social work skills and processesEncourage students to develop and engage in reflective practice
