Computer Science Subject Knowledge Enhancement course at Keele
The teacher training course (PGCE) at Keele University has been awarded places by the Teaching Agency to run a 6 month Computer Science Subject Knowledge Enhancement (SKE) course. This will run between 21 January 2013 and 19 July 2013.
This course is designed to develop and enhance the knowledge, skills and understanding of Graduates so that they are able to undertake an Initial Teacher Education programme as a Computer Science specialist, in line with the proposed changes to the National Curriculum ICT/Computing.
This is a full-time course, over 24 weeks. Course participants will undertake a number of modules delivered through a partnership at Keele University between colleagues in the School of Computing and Mathematics and specialist Teacher Educators (Keele and Partnership Schools).
Applications are invited from Graduates who have a basic knowledge of Computing and ICT and some experience of programming and who are seeking to train as a secondary school teacher of the subject.
