Seeing an Adviser
Drop-ins are your best way to initially see a Careers Adviser. These one-to-one 15 minute sessions are available on a frequent basis allowing you to start your career planning and move forward. The drop-in will cover whatever you need it to. Sessions commonly explore:
- What career options are open to me?
- How do I secure work experience?
- What skills are employers looking for?
- Is my CV fit for purpose?
- How do I apply for postgraduate courses?
- What do I do to prepare for an interview?
You can't pre-book a drop-in slot - just arrive during the times stated below and sign up for a slot at the reception desk. When possible, the sign-up sheet is put out ten minutes before each session starts.
Careers Adviser drop-in times are as follows:
Monday 4 March: 10.00 – 12.45 (Sarah)
Tuesday 5 March: 10.00 – 11.45 and 2.30 – 3.45 (Patrick)
Wednesday 6 March: sorry, no drop-in today
Thursday 7 March: 2.00 – 3.45 (Patrick)
Friday 8 March: 11.00 – 12.45 (Patrick) and 2.00 – 3.45 (Ben)
A limited number of longer guidance interviews are available to students if additional time is needed to follow on from issues arising at drop-in.
