Abiodun Olaniran

Abiodun is a member of staff in the Department of Agronomy, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology at Ogbomoso in Nigeria, where he teaches introductory agricultural entomology, principles of plant protection (entomology) and general agricultural entomology. His previous research has been on organic agriculture, use of botanical insecticides in the control of insect pests associated with cucumber and roselle and toxic effects of plant extracts in the control of insect pests of vegetables. He is a student member of the Royal Entomological Society (RES) and Association of Applied Biologists (AAB) and a member of the (international Society of Organic Agriculture Research (ISOFAR).

He is carrying out research on the chemical ecology of the western flower thrips Frankliniella occidentalis.
