The Spring Choice for Associations
Eight renowned associations chose Keele University for its offering over the four week Easter period, which as well as full access to more than 30 venue spaces and break out rooms, included onsite hospitality and en-suite accommodation.
Keele University Conferences and Events (KUC&E) is celebrating spring success after more than 1,700 delegates descended on the venue during the university Easter break alone.
Eight renowned associations chose Keele University for its offering over the four week Easter period, which as well as full access to more than 30 venue spaces and break out rooms, included onsite hospitality and en-suite accommodation.
Events ranged from two day training seminars to six day annual conferences for organisations including the Samaritans, Institute of Mechanical Engineers (IMECHE), Institute of Revenues, Rating and Valuation (IRRV),
Janet UK and the British Pharmacy Students Association (BPSA).
Sam Booth, Head of Conferences and Events at Keele University, comments: “Fewer and fewer universities are offering their full conference facilities during the Easter period however, the Easter break remains a key time for associations and not-for-profit organisations to gather all of their members for their annual conference.
“We continue to recognise this and are committed to providing a full conference and events offer, including significant meeting and exhibition space, accommodation and support services, during this important period.”
Through the Easter period, KUC&E is able to offer a full range of services across its multiple venue spaces and meeting rooms, such as the grade two listed Keele Hall. Services also include free Wi-Fi, onsite parking, catering and overnight accommodation for hundreds of delegates.
KUC&E has also recently enhanced its offer to include bespoke, all-inclusive packages for the associations and charities sector, including the option of inclusive event management services and fixed packages for those organisers looking to book multiple years.
One association to choose Keele during April was IMECHE. IMECHE has been working
with KUC&E for more than ten years, having chosen the site for its annual training and
development programme for members.
Diane Lorenzelli, Events Executive at IMECHE, comments: “IMECHE has been running its training and development programme during the Easter holidays for more than 30 years as this has proved to be an ideal time to get members together. It’s important to find a venue that can provide a full package of services for member events and we’re always impressed with the service at Keele. The fact that the facilities are all in one area means we can easily use multiple spaces which is great.”
The KUC&E team will be welcoming many more non-for-profit organisations to the campus in the coming months as it hosts annual conferences for national organisations including the Association for the Teaching of Psychology, DEBRA, and the National Retail Charity Association.
Sam Booth adds: “We were delighted to be able accommodate so many events during the Easter period and support the great work that associations continue to deliver. We pride ourselves on meeting the needs of our varying customers and believe this is reflected in our extensive range of packages, excellent feedback we receive, as well as in the loyal customer base we’ve developed over the years.”
