If you’ve got a business idea or a hobby that you’d like to turn into a business, but aren’t sure where to start, then SPEED Plus is for you!

SPEED Plus is a part time business start-up project which offers Keele students, graduates, alumni and staff, plus graduates of any age, of any university the opportunity to learn all about starting up a business.

You’ll learn about business models, taxation, business planning and record keeping, sales and marketing, E-commerce, legal contracts, insurance and more. 

You’ll need to commit to attending 7 mandatory workshops (Wednesday afternoons), plus a weekend residential and a full day induction and in return you’ll gain all the knowledge you need to set up and run your business.

And, if that’s not enough, you’ll also receive up to 10hours one-to-one consultancy with your very own business expert, the opportunity to bid for up to £1,500 of grant funding, networking and business opportunities and the opportunity to have a registered business address on the prestigious Keele Science & Business Park for up to 1 year.

The Student Enterprise Team is recruiting for the next two cohorts, one starting this October and one starting in January 2014.
