Until then please make use of our FAQ section. If you have a question that you can't find the answer to here, or you're still having problems after using this guide, please get in touch with us. FAQs:

My laptop is not showing up on the projector.

You may need to press the function (FN) and the F5 keys on your laptop. The "FN" key is normally at the bottom left of the keyboard near the CTRL and Alt keys. The F5 key is along the top with the other 12 "F" keys. Hold down the "FN" key and press the "F key" with a picture of a computer screen on it until the image appears on the screen, leave a 5 second gap in between each press to allow time for the laptop and projector to react. I've turned the console on but I'm getting no image.

The console and the projector may have gone out of sync. Please turn off the console for 2 minutes and try again, also make sure the "Blank" button has not been selected, as this overrides all other outputs.

Or the computer may simply have gone to sleep from being left alone for a while. Simply move the mouse around or press the space bar.

I cannot log on to a pool room PC.

This could be 1 of 2 problems:

1. Unfortunately you may have a problem with your logon. The only way to resolve this is to get in touch with Keele IT, however in the meantime we can provide you with a temporary username and password for use in pool rooms for a short time.

2. You may need to update your password due to the Windows 7 switch over. Follow the link below to get to the password changer:
