A recital experience like no other. Matthew Barley embarks on his most ambitious project yet, taking the music of Benjamin Britten around the UK celebrating the Britten Centenary. Special visuals for Britten’s Third Cello Suite have been created by Yeast Culture.

Much of 2013 has been taken up by a 100-event tour of the UK to celebrate the centenary of Benjamin Britten – the itinerary includes venues as diverse as a Victorian swimming pool, a lighthouse, a barn, the Wigmore Hall in London, and here at Keele. The tour is accompanied by a new release on Signum Classics, Around Britten, described by Sinfini as “a defining statement in modern cello playing”.
