The Trees at Keele
Snowy Mespil or Juneberry Amelanchier laevis
A low, twiggy, dome-shaped tree. Leaves unfurl a coppery colour but soon turn green. Flowers are delicate star-like. It makes an attractive garden tree.
Location : Scattered. Two trees in Lindsay Courtyard square J9 (pictured); a group by the Medical Centre and widely planted on the Phase 3 site.
