Woodland Nature Trail
Stop N
At the end of the lawn where the two tracks meet (off to the right of the picture) are two small Giant Redwoods.
To the right of this group is a Holm Oak Quercus ilex. It is the common oak of the western Mediterranean with leathery, Holly-like evergreen leaves and a bark divided in small blocks (reticulated) resembling that of a Cedar. It has been grown in Britain for 400 years and is especially useful in shelter belts.
