- APD (Advanced Professional Development in International Education Management)
This short course APD programme is especially designed for leaders, managers, administrators and teachers working, or intending to work, in International Schools or Universities in Asia. The programme consists of two modules from the MBA Education (International) programme. The APD programme is delivered over two days, one weekend, at Harrow International School, Bangkok, Thailand (May).
This APD course is an MBA level programme and aims to provide educational professionals working in Asia advanced learning and development in two aspects of management and leadership; Organisational Behaviour and Development, and Human Resource Issues. The accreditation, teaching and assessment are undertaken entirely by Keele University tutors and professors, supported by educational specialists.
Course members may opt for full assessment on the programme or merely attendance at the two-day residential in Bangkok (May). All participants receive a Certificate of Attendance. Those who wish to be awarded Keele University's MBA-level accreditation for the programme must successfully complete the two, 15 credit module assessments. These take the form of essays that critically reflect and analyse aspects of educational management or leadership of relevance to the student.
Participants may use the 30 credits gained by successful completion towards either the MBA Education (International); the Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration (Education), or the Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration (Education). The APD cost will be fully offset against the MBA, PG Diploma or PG Certificate fee rates for those participants who transfer to any of these higher-level programmes.
You can download a Course Information leaflet at APD information leaflet which gives further information relating to dates and course fees etc. An application form can be downloaded at APD Application form 2013
