How does it Work?
We collect What Happened To's from about May to about February each year and publish synposes of these in the annual forever: keele magazine.
When forever: keele is ready to be published (usually about April), we replace the WHTs on the website with those received since February of that year and start all over again, adding them as they come in.... The current series of WHTs was begun in March 2013.
You can read past What Happened To's in our online versions of the forever: keele magazine
2010
Daniel Brown: Completed training as a junior doctor and went on to train as a Neurosurgeon at the Royal Hallamshire hospital Sheffield.
Samara Hyde: After leaving Keele I got a fall bursary from Shell to study an MSc in Geophysics at Leeds Uni. Not being interested in the course I left it and quickly got a job as a geophysics interpreter at Fugro Robertsons for 1½ years. I now study an MSc in Engineering Geology at Portsmouth Uni.
Kathryn Kimbley: I started my own social enterprise in 2010 (January) which offers counselling and animal assisted therapy (AAT). Working with animals to help people. In Nov 2012 HumAnima CIC won the Social Enterprise West Midlands prime award for innovation.
Claire McDonald: After graduating, I secured a role in a Graduate training scheme with a large corporate AgChem manager, circumstances led to a transition from a role where I thought a lifelong career had begun into a less well paid media sales 12 month contract. I was not using my brain and felt as though my time at Keele had gone to waste. 2012 was incredibly challenging year for all manner of reasons. I thought as though I had lost my way. 12 months of hard work paid off, I have recently secured a role in regulatory affairs at the world’s largest biotech company Amgen. I love it and gained focus again. I am talking about Oncogenes and gene mutations. I have found my career/professional calling. Never give up hope or trying.
Keeley Monsen: Left Keele in 2010. Went on to study an MSc at UCL and graduated with a distinction in 2011. Spent two years working in various medical genetics laboratories in London and Oxford. Just accepted a similar role (next step up). Been with my Keele boyfriend – John McCann since a few weeks into my first year. Now happily living together for 3 years.
Katie Moyes (Gray): After graduating I started working in marketing for an accounting firm in Reading where I worked for 3 years. I have since moved back ‘home’ and work in marketing for a law firm. Whilst living in Reading I also got married.
Tom Shears: I’m now doing an Open University IT course and I’ve done some work with a local company bored at home. I’ve got difficult epilepsy so it is hard to get full-time employment.
Sally Stone: After studying history at Keele, I now run a Tudor museum in West Bromwich and I absolutely love it! I live with Ben Furlong; we met at Keele four and a half years ago. Ben really enjoys his job as a university admissions office and maths teacher.
Saman Wimaladasa: After completing my studies at Keele i returned to Sri Lanka. Presently im working in a private firm in Sri Lanka as a Project Manager/Head of ICT. If I received a good career opportunity, I would be willing to relocate to the UK and visit Keele to refresh my memories and enjoy the nature around Keele.
2011

In October 2012 I had the opportunity to join a business intelligence consulting firm focussed on political, operational and security risk in sub-Saharan Africa. I haven’t looked back since. Without Keele University this wouldn’t have happened!
Catherine Herod: Having graduated in 2011 with a first in mathematics I went on to gain a distinction in MSc Mathematics in Leeds. Couldn’t have done it without all the help from the maths department at Keele. I am now a financial analyst for Phones 4 U.

Laura Oseland: When I first started as a paralegal I was doing residential property, once I mastered this area I moved onto commercial property which in my opinion is much more interesting. I am currently doing the 18 month LPC at the University of Law and due to complete the course in Feb 14.
Benjamin Shuker: Went on to graduate entry medicine at Warwick University, due to graduate 2015.
Kristina Tamane: I work as a graduate assistant at Keele – still… it’s a great way to start a career.
