Keele in the City

What is Keele in the City?

Nightlife mini We like to imagine it as "the Union transplanted".  No speeches, no presentations -  just a chance to mingle and meet Keele pals, rub shoulders and exchange gossip and memories but mainly to rendezvous If you have ever said to one another "We must get together" and then struggled to fix a date and a place KITC is the perfect solution.

In 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 we held "Keele in the City" events in London and Manchester.  We logged over 1,400 names of people who wanted to attend and went on the Guest Lists - although not all of the people necessarily turned up, we estimate that at least 300 people came to each of the London events.

First, Disappointment:
In 2011 and 2012 we didn't organise a Keele in the City - sorry!

Second, Joy:
In 2013 we will revive Keele in the City again

Third, Anticipation:
KITC 2013 will be on a boat on the Thames - not quite as atmospheric as a raft on Keele Hall lake but we'll make do. No more Tiger Tiger!

Fourth, Intrigue:
KITC 2013 coincides with the Lord Mayor's Show - we won't tell you why just yet but there are really great reasons for choosing that date to enjoy... "the oldest, longest, grandest and most popular civic procession in the world. The Lord Mayor's Show has floated, rolled, trotted, marched and occasionally fought its way through almost 800 years of London history... and arrived in the 21st century as one of the world’s best-loved pageants."
