Research at Keele is organised into five large Research Institutes. Within each of these there is a large variety of research into different aspects of ageing.

- Science and Technology in Medicine
- Humanities
- Primary Care and Health Care Sciences
- Social Sciences
There is also the world-renowned interdisciplinary Centre for Social Gerontology.
