Research at Keele is organised into five large Research Institutes.  Within each of these there is a large variety of research into different aspects of ageing.

 There is also the world-renowned interdisciplinary Centre for Social Gerontology.

Ages and Stages

Ages and Stages is a continuing research collaboration between Keele University and the New Vic Theatre exploring the impact of theatre on ideas about, and the experience of, ageing.

This project considers the role of community action in contributing to greater independence and social engagement among older residents of disadvantaged neighbourhoods.
